Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Utah:

Rules: Must have a whip flag and OHV sticker. Campgrounds have speed limits and quiet hours. No alcoholic beverages in the dunes while riding. There is no helmet law or law against 2 up riding. There's probably more which you can find at theBLM welcome center. Camping is free at the Meadows but you have to pay at the campground and day use areas.

First things first - here are the rules.

These late afternoon pictures really show the color of the dunes. Kind of a pinkish-orange color.

Never the same color in the pictures. The main dunes area is about 3 miles long and less than a mile wide. The dunes' aren't very tall but some are fairly steep. The sand is VERY fine and soft.

The NorthWest part of the main dune areas has a lot of paths up the bordering hills. Not too steep but some are pretty long.

Part of the 200 acre off-limits beetle habitat... You can walk there if you want. The area is clearly marked.

A couple of quads running around the only "bowl" in the dunes.

A Jeep on the dunes. I don't believe street-legal vehicles are allowed on the dunes and you must have a whip flag.

Overlooking the dunes from one of the hills on the East side.

Most of the dunes are shaped like this.

The Sand Canyon Wash Trail runs most of the length of the dunes on the East side. It's one-way which is a good thing and a pretty fun ride.
