Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Utah: Page 2 |
This is the free area called the Meadows. This was taken on Labor day and the area was fairly full. There is 1 way to the dunes from here that you can see in the lower middle portion of the picture. |
Looking towards the dune entrance from the Meadows camping area. |
The start of the dunes as you come from the Meadows camping area. The whole area is well marked with fences and signs where appropriate. |
Whadda ya know - a mudpit in the middle of the camping area. Only 3 quads went in here and 1 truck. 2 of the quads were Polaris (dad and son) and one was a Raptor. Check out the video section for how they did. |
This is the day use area - it will cost you $5 a day to park here. There is direct access to the dunes from here. Go through the main BLM entrance to get here. |
There is a small parking area with a boardwalk and nice overlook for people that don't have a sand machine to see the dunes. I believe this is free. |
To get to the pay areas (Day parking and campground) you must go through the BLM station. |
A few pictures of the pay campground area. The campground is pretty decent and all spots are pull-through. There is a restroom/hot showers, hook-ups, dump station, etc.... MAKE SURE YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS if you want to camp here. |
The trails to/from the pay campground. Each lane is one-way. |
