Instead of making a left to go into the main parking lot just keep following the main road. about 5-6 miles it goes through a nice little meadow about 3/4 of the way to deadmans. It may be awful wet yet this time of year though. Bugs shouldn't be as bad as long as it's dried up. That other spot stays wet all summer usually.

Deadmans is just the east end of the dunes where they end in the sagebrush. Fun to try and climb out of in July/August when the sand is way soft and about knee deep if you walk down it. That meadow is off of the dunes about the same as the main lot, you just have to go through 1 of 2 trails to get to them through some tall sagebrush. It'll put you about 4 miles east or so of the main lot but on holiday weekends there are usually a bunch of people that park there. I've seen that JD out there before, he's got a nice rail for sure.

Yeah hopefully I can make it out next weekend. Unless we have a job pop up at work to go on I should be free. I usually just park up top in the main lot and drive a 06 black dodge with a blue banshee in the back.

Well this sucks. We just picked up a rig move at work just in time for the weekend. Looks like I'll be busy the next 5 days or so and probably won't make it out at all this weekend. I was looking forward to it but with it being slow at work I gotta catch all the hours I can. Maybe if I get in at a decent time saturday I'll run out for an evening ride.

Well now things may have changed again. We managed to do in 1 day what usually takes 2-3. The rig was actually ready to move so we could just tear into and not have to wait all the damned time. Should have most of it finished tomorrow and if so then it's off to the dunes Saturday!!!!

Yeah I didn't get a chance to make it out. Finished a rig move Friday late, then loaded and unloaded equipment Saturday to start another one today. Hopefully be done with this one tomorrow and I can either get some riding in or more likely right now some fishing. I haven't fished for a bout a year and I'm due for a long summer of it. I can't live by Flaming Gorge and not go fish the damned place!

You can get out of state permits at some gas stations, I think they are $15 each. Other state stickers are not accepted. We were never checked last year out there but we have been checked several times at Seminoe. $15 is better than the $65 dollar ticket IMO.
