This is Memorial Day 2000 at Walden. Every camp
site was full and then some. That's me drinking coffee; I just woke
up.

The first set of dunes you come to from the camping
areas.

The little "Comp Hill" for lack of a better
word on the left. Everybody races up and down this hill.

This is the area between the first and second dunes.

set of dunes. Anywhere you see trees there will be trails through them.

barely see all of the people hanging around Dead Man's.

This is what they call Dead Man's. It's only a challenge in the early part of summer when the creek washes away the hill making it very steep. It takes lots of guts to be the first ones to start breaking it in. |

They call this "The Beach". I don't know why. There are trails going back towards Dead Man's or up into the mountain from here. |

Catching a little air off a buried snowbank. There's
lots of snow under the sand around the edges in the spring. They are
about 1 foot high and straight up and down. This is not a good picture
of that though.
