Walden, Colorado: North Sand Hills OHV Area During Memorial Day Weekend 2001

Our little "Comp Hill". It's not a big hill but it's a place to race.

Here is Comp Hill at night. These are all 8 second exposures. The bright light in the sky is lightening. Notice how it lights up the mountains in the background. Cool.

People hanging around at the top of Dead Man's. It's a spectator sport half of the time.

Show off. :) A lot of interesting people here.
This was funny. This guy came up the bank, the bike flew straight up then landed just like you see it and stayed upright there. The guy fell off the bike and into the creek and had to climb up the bank to get to his bike.
This truck never did make it to the top but it was fun watching him. Check out the roost.

Paddles on all 4 wheels and he still couldn't do it.

All blue Jeeps are not created equal. This one made it easily with 2 wheel drive, good paddles and lots of power. I wouldn't want to be standing behind him.
Well, I can say this: it's different, colorful and loud.
As much as I like my Toyota I know better than do this with it. He's stuck a lot worse than it looks. It was there from the night before.
It's a zoo down there.
The buggies have no trouble getting around. When I'm too old to ride a Banshee I'll have to get one of those.
